By using our website, iOS app or rental services, you agree to be bound by these terms of use and our privacy policy. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

Introduction

These terms govern your use of flexrent.tn, the FlexRent iOS app and vehicle rental services offered by Flex Rent a Car in Tunisia. By accessing our platforms or making a booking, you accept these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms of use and our privacy policy. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our services.

Platforms and digital services

FlexRent provides an online booking journey (search, vehicle choice, options, payment), a customer area (dashboard, history, cancellation within deadlines), booking lookup by reference without login, a loyalty and referral programme (cagnotte, promotional offers), and a native iOS app using the same accounts and APIs as the website.

Services Description

Flex Rent a Car offers vehicle rental in Tunisia (agencies, Tunis-Carthage and Enfidha-Hammamet airports, delivery subject to options). Our services include online or iOS app booking, optional extras (child seat, additional driver, etc.), basic insurance included in the displayed rate, vehicle pickup and return, and customer support (email, contact form, WhatsApp).

Website and app features

  • Search and compare vehicles by dates, locations and filters
  • Real-time pricing, promotional campaigns and discounts (welcome, referral, cagnotte — only the best single discount per booking unless stacking is explicitly shown)
  • Customer account with email/password or Google/Facebook login (when available)
  • Track and manage bookings from the dashboard (view, cancel within deadlines, deferred card payment via secure link where applicable)
  • Find a booking by reference number and email without a mandatory account
  • Loyalty programme: earn and spend cagnotte points, customer referrals

Eligibility

Age Requirement

To rent a vehicle, the main driver must be at least 21 years old. Some vehicles or categories may require a higher minimum age.

License Requirement

You must hold a valid driver's licence for at least 2 years. A valid passport or ID is required at pickup. The licence must remain valid for the entire rental period.

User Account

You may book as a guest (without creating an account) or with a customer account. An account makes history, loyalty and booking management easier. You must provide accurate, complete information and keep your credentials confidential. Activity on your account is deemed to be yours.

Guest booking

A guest booking is tied to the email address provided. You can retrieve your file via the "Find my booking" page with your reference. Creating an account later with the same email may link future bookings to your profile.

Booking Process

Step 1: Search

Select your pickup location, rental dates and vehicle preferences.

Step 2: Selection

Choose the vehicle that meets your needs from the available options.

Step 3: Information

Enter your details, choose options (supplementary insurance, equipment), accept these terms and the privacy policy, then select your payment method.

Step 4: Email validation

An email with a confirmation link is sent to you. You must validate your address within 10 minutes for the request to be processed; after that, the request is automatically cancelled.

Step 5: Payment and confirmation

Depending on the method chosen: redirect to the secure ClicToPay page for card payment, or bank transfer instructions by email. A booking confirmation is sent once payment is validated or the booking is recorded according to the chosen method.

Email address validation

Link validation by email is mandatory to confirm a new booking request. Check your spam folder if you do not receive the message. FlexRent cannot be held liable for an expired request due to failure to validate within the deadline.

Find a booking

You can check the status of an existing booking by entering your reference number and the email used when booking, without logging in. A secure card payment link may be offered if a balance remains due.

Pricing and Payment

Pricing

Prices are shown in Tunisian dinars (TND) and include VAT where applicable. The displayed rate generally includes basic insurance, a daily mileage cap (300 km/day unless stated otherwise), rental tax and pickup/return at the points indicated. Fuel, tolls, fines, options and off-agency delivery may be charged extra. Rates may vary by season, availability and vehicle category.

Payment Methods

Two methods are offered: (1) Bank card (Visa, Mastercard) via ClicToPay — you are redirected to the provider's secure page; FlexRent does not see your card details; (2) Bank transfer — details and reference are sent by email; the booking is confirmed after funds are received. A card payment link may also be sent later to complete a pending booking.

Bank transfer

By choosing bank transfer, you agree to pay within the deadline stated in the email. FlexRent may cancel an unpaid booking after the stated deadline.

Security Deposit

A security deposit is collected or blocked at vehicle pickup, depending on category. It is refunded after inspection on return, minus any damage, fuel shortfall or uncovered violations. FlexRent does not offer deposit-free rental.

Promotions, loyalty and referral

Promotional offers (campaigns, welcome code, referral, cagnotte) may reduce your rental amount according to the rules shown at booking time. Spent cagnotte points are debited once; stacking rules are shown at checkout. FlexRent may change or withdraw an offer at any time; confirmed bookings keep the conditions accepted at validation.

Availability and inventory

Displayed vehicles come from our synchronised inventory. If unavailable after your request, we will contact you to offer an equivalent alternative or a refund. Photos and "or similar" labels indicate a vehicle category; the exact model may vary at pickup depending on availability.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a confirmed booking from your customer area or by contacting us, under the following conditions (pickup date and time, Tunisia timezone):

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup date and time
  • Cancellation with 50% charge between 24 and 48 hours before pickup
  • No refund for cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup, except mandatory legal provision or written agreement from FlexRent

Refund Policy

Eligible refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days according to the original payment method (card via ClicToPay or transfer). Cagnotte points used may be recredited according to the loyalty programme rules in force at cancellation.

Vehicle Use and Responsibilities

Vehicle Condition

The vehicle will be delivered to you in good working condition. You are responsible for checking the vehicle's condition before taking possession and immediately reporting any problems.

Prohibited Uses

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Using the vehicle for illegal activities
  • Transporting passengers for hire (taxi service)
  • Driving off paved roads without authorization
  • Subletting the vehicle to third parties

Damage and Liability

You are responsible for all damage to the vehicle during the rental period, except those covered by insurance. Repairs will be charged at market price.

Insurance

All our vehicles are covered by mandatory liability insurance. Additional insurance options are available at booking for enhanced protection.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Flex Rent a Car will not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or other consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the inability to use our services.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including texts, images, logos and designs, is the property of Flex Rent a Car and is protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms of use at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on the website. It is your responsibility to regularly review these terms.

Governing Law

These terms of use are governed by Tunisian law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tunis.
